![]() ![]() I”m even wondering if Alien Tape could hold a hook for a wreath perhaps?Īlien Tape can be found directly on the company’s website or on Amazon. I think for the holidays this year I”ll do something festive in this spot. This is the first time I’ve ever used Alien Tape and so far I like it! When I decide to take down the picture or replace it with something else, I’ll be sure to let you know how easy or difficult it is. (Thankfully I read the directions for once.) If you try to remove it, it will pull off the sheet rock and/or paint. IMPORTANT NOTE** Do NOT use Alien Tape on sheet rock as it will be permanent. (You need to hold it firmly into place for 30-60 seconds.)Īnd here’s how it looks! No drilled holes, no mess, just a pretty picture just where I wanted it! When I am ready to take it down, I’ll simply pull it away from the wall and remove the tape. Using a level on top of the frame I carefully pushed it into place on the center mark. ![]() I peeled off the backing of the tape that would adhere it to the tile. Then I held it up to the wall to make sure it was where I wanted it. Then I cut four pieces of Alien Tape and put a strip on all sides, removing the backing so that it stuck to the back of the frame. So, I marked where I wanted the picture to be on the backsplash and made a pencil mark. The directions recommend you use tape on all 4 sides of your project. I thought this would be a lot of tape, but actually it takes quite a bit to hang just one picture. I saw an advertisement on television around Christmas and ordered a set of 3 rolls. I wanted to hang the picture, but I didn’t want it to be a permanent solution, because knowing me, I”ll change it at some point. (See the painting in the background at Christmas?) Until last week I simply had it propped up behind the cooktop, where it did tend to get a bit greasy. I just loved the frame and the French Country vibe. Hence, I don’t really mind if it gets a little grease or water on it. I’ve had this painting for years which I bought at a consignment store on clearance for $25. Happy Tuesday, friends! Have you ever wanted to hang a picture on a kitchen backsplash, yet didn’t want to permanently drill into the tile? Then you need to check my latest picture hanging hack using Alien Tape! Come see!
